GoodWe GW5000-ES-20 – 5 kW Single-Phase Hybrid Solar Inverter
The GoodWe GW5000-ES-20 is a powerful and efficient 5 kW single-phase hybrid inverter from the ES G2 Series, designed for residential solar PV and energy storage systems. Combining solar generation, battery storage and backup functionality in one solution, it helps maximise self-consumption and increase household energy independence.
The GW5000-ES-20 features 2 independent MPPT trackers and supports up to 7,500 W of PV input power. With a wide 60–550 V MPPT operating range, low 58 V start-up voltage, and up to 16 A input current per MPPT, the inverter provides flexible system design and compatibility with modern PV modules.
Designed for 48 V low-voltage battery systems, the GW5000-ES-20 supports a 40–60 V battery voltage range and up to 120 A continuous charging and discharging current. It provides up to 5,000 W charging power and 5,300 W discharge power.
For backup applications, the inverter provides 5,000 VA nominal backup power and can deliver up to 10,000 VA for 10 seconds. With UPS-level switching in less than 10 ms, essential household loads can continue operating during grid interruptions.

The GW5000-ES-20 incorporates comprehensive safety features, including PV insulation resistance detection, residual current monitoring, reverse polarity protection, anti-islanding protection, AC overcurrent, short-circuit and overvoltage protection. An integrated DC switch, Type II DC surge protection and remote shutdown are included, while AFCI is available as an option.
